Oklahoma Residency Requirements For Divorce

Either spouse must have been a resident of Oklahoma for at least six months before filing.

Grounds For Divorce In Oklahoma

The no-fault grounds for divorce in Oklahoma are:

Oklahoma Child Custody

In an action for divorce where there are minor children involved, the court shall not issue a final order until at least ninety days from the date of filing the petition, although this may be waived. An action for divorce in Oklahoma may be filed in the county in which the plaintiff has been a resident for the thirty days immediately preceding the filing of the petition, or in the county where the defendant is a resident.
